ABATE Executive Director Inducted into Hall-of-Fame

STURGIS, SD (August 7, 2009) -- On Wednesday, August 5, ABATE of Indiana Executive Director Jay Jackson was inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame. Jay joins an elite group of motorcycle activists in the Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame (including another Indiana motorcyclists, Michael "Balls" Farabaugh), for his life-long comitment of motorcyclists' rights activism.

The ceremony took place at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, South Dakota. Joining Jay was a group of Indiana people who helped celebrate the day's event. In additon to the Hall-of-Fame induction, close friends from Ohio, Gary Sellers (former MRF board member, and past Hall-of-Fame inductee) and Buzz Ude (owner of Mid-Ohio Harley-Davidson), presented Jay with a special award of appreciation for the help he has provided to our brothers and sisters in the Ohio motorcycling community.

Crongratulations, Jay, for this well deserved recognition. You have always been a hall-of-famer in our eyes, and now the entire world knows it!
